October of 01, I got the best job I had ever had. I was hired to process loan applications at the areas "leading" credit union. Fast forward 1 year and some months, customer commendations and praise for my professionalism and polite courtious manners ect...

It was a busy day and I decide to help out the other people in the call center by taking on the other customer service line as well as the loan line. I get a phone call from an angry upset woman, after a little calming down and investigation it turns out shes angry cause she bounced a check (apparently, and not just with her, it is ALWAYS the banks fault when you bounce a check, I got that crap every day and stupid people piss me off) I went through transaction by transaction how her account became overdrawn. She got a rather smug attitude with me and demanded that the bounced check fee be returned immediatly. I can do this only as long as they have not bounced a check within 12 months. She had bounced one a few months back and was given a refund. I informed her of credit union policy and after a bit of huffing and puffing she hung up. I didnt think anything of it. The next afternoon I get called in to the branch managers office, they asked me if I had an attitude problem and why i was rude to Mrs SoAndSo yesterday. I explained the situation and asked for verification on credit union policy. They then handed me a pile of annonymous (names removed so I couldnt see who sent them) letter from people who had complained to them about me and my rudeness. ALL of them were very generic and non specific, not even dated, they were photocopied and in my opinion were fabricated for this very purpose. And for the record, I have never told a CU member that thier "credit sucks" we use nice terms like "colorfull credit" "insufficient credit performance" ect.. Ask anyone that ever sat near me, worked with me... I was always very polite and respectfull especially when confronted with irate members.. i'v been complimented on my phone voice on multiple occasions... DARNIT I WAS A GOOD EMPLOYEE!!! anyway im rambling. Turns out the woman that bounced a check was on the board at the credit union and had alot of sway.

I did get fired that afternoon, but they gave me 3 weeks severence pay and a good recomendation?!

This was more than 2 years ago, but im still mad hehehe.

Yes, I am very well aware that my spelling needs improvment
