When I was 19 and just finishing College, I received a job as a receptionist or I thought I did. When the guy hired me he told me that my duties would include answering the phone, and dealing with deliveries. Later I would discover that I was just wrong. He also informed me that I can get paid hourly or salary based what ever I preferred. The next day when I came to work my job description increased ever so slightly day by day for the next 2 weeks. They started off easy, first cleaning the kitchen, then Ironing, dusting; finally the last 2 days I was there they hired someone else for reception so that when I got to work someone else was sitting at my desk. I finally left when all of the managers left for a cigarette break and told me to, that I had to finish dusting, vacuuming, and beating the carpet before I left to go home. I told them that they hired me as a receptionist and not a cleaning lady, and left.
