Fired by email on their birthday!
I was an engineer at an electronics company in Mercerville NJ and the owner sent an e-mail to my home on my birthday telling me I was fired for failing to keep him updated to my work progress. Never mind that I sent him daily written updates, he never bothered to read them (he was too busy looking at porn online).
He also failed to offer continued health insurance (required by law in NJ) and when I complained to the state, he re-instated it and sent me a bill for $500 for a month of retroactive coverage. I put it in the round file...
PS-I am making way more $ now, as they say the best revenge is living well.
