"Searching" for a new job now
So I get a job at one of the all-powerful internet job
search engines and it's my second foray into corporate
america. For the first 2 months and 29 days, life
couldn't get any better. I got up and actually enjoyed
where I worked. I liked life and felt like I had
purpose.
Then I was called in by xxxx and informed that I was
being fired. It was the last day of my probationary
period and I had even filled out my benefits
information the day previous.
I had been defined as "An employee-at-will."
And my offense? An online user was upset that I wasn't
going to take him using profanity at me and proceeded
to complain about me.
I was fired for no good reason other than standing up
for myself. Life hasn't been the same since.
