Fired after phone call to friend calling their boss stupid (Sep.2005 entry)!
My boss was OK, but he was nowhere near as smart as the thought he was. He had just come up with one of his "brilliant" ideas and, as usual, had instructed me to make it work.
I called a friend on the phone and told him about it.
I ended the conversation by saying, "I know he doesn't have a brain is his head, but is this, or is this not the dumbest thing you have ever heard? I'm really tired of having to fix what this bonehead comes up with."
Unfortunately my friend had the speaker phone on and the boss was in his office and heard the whole thing.
Ten minutes later I didn't have to worry about fixing any more of "bonehead's" mistakes.
