Fired in my sleep!

I told my boss at the Mexican fast food restaurant that I needed to take a few weeks off when college started. I wanted to get my bearings on the school workload before coming back to work. Plus, I was running track in the afternoons/evenings, which left me exhausted by the time I got home. My boss understood, and told me to call when I was ready to return.

When I came into work to pick up my check, I was informed I was fired for missing work! I was confused - I was supposed to be on leave!

It turns out that one day, when I came home and passed out on the couch, my boss called. From what I gathered later, the conversation went like this:

Me: "Uhnn, Hello?"

Boss: "Yes, is this [MY NAME]?"

Me: "Mmmm hmmm..."

Boss: "Can you come into work tomorrow? We really need someone to cover counter. Three people called in sick."

Me: "Mmmmm yeah, whatever."

Boss: "Okay, be there at 6pm sharp, okay?"

Me: "Mmmmm Hmmmm.......zzzzzzzzzz"

Now, I had absolutely NO recollection of this conversation. I had managed to agree to something IN MY SLEEP and get fired because of it.
