Fired because they were looking for another job (Sep.2005 entry)!

I was fired from my job because my employer found out I applied for another job that actually had benefits and guaranteed salary. The employer to which I applied to contacted my current employer as a reference and then I was let go for that reason. I know that others that let there employer know they were looking for another job have been let go as well so either way I guess I was screwed. Who would have known, I didn't! I also live in South Carolina which allows employers to let go of employee's for no reason at all, some job security, huh. Oh well life goes on. I hope that I do get that job I applied to, I guess time will tell.
