Fired thanks to Stone Temple Pilots

This is actually a story about my friend Cathy who got fired...

My friend worked at a department store for 3 years. They LOVED her there. In three years she worked herself up to Customer Service Mgr. and she was "Employee of the month" several times. They frequently told her she could have a wonderful future with the company and they could see her as a store Mgr.

One day we were hanging out with our friends Sue and Sharyn. Sue's mom wanted her to buy a punch bowl and Sharyn wanted the new Stone Temple Pilots album. Cathy had the "Great Idea" to buy the items at the store she worked at because she would get a 10% discount.

So we go to the store. Sue finds the punch bowl, hands it to Cathy and Sharyn gets the Stone Temple Pilots CD and hands it to Cathy. She pays for the items and we leave.

The next day Cathy goes into work and they escort her into this weird room in the bowels of the store. All three Mgrs are there and they look PISSED. They sit her down and tell her they have an "interesting video" for her to watch. It was a store video of the 4 of us shopping the previous day...they make note of Sharyn and Sue handing Cathy the CD and the punch bowl.

After that she got a HUGE lecture on stealing. They said she used her employee discount to buy other people's purchases and that was worse than stealing and that it was a HUGE crime! After 3 years of thinking she was the greatest thing, they fired her on the spot and basically said she was a disgrace. She was lead directly out of the building.

To this day I STILL think she should have said she went to buy the bowl and the CD and Sue and Sharyn were just handing them to her like "oh, here's that CD you wanted." and "Oh, here's a nice bowl, buy this one."
