I was working with a Temp agency in Austin, TX, and myself being a person who has circumvented the globe at least three times via the Army, Navy and Air Force and not to mention having sailed five of the seven seas, and being retired Military, basically means that I do have some stories to tell.

And this is a true story, I had been assigned by a temp agency to work as a mail/file clerk for an insurance agency out of Austin, well I started working there basically I kept to myself for the most part and ole "bubba" who was the head of the insurance agency there where I worked at, was a man who after high school went on to college and married his High school sweetheart and after 15 years of marriage and three kids later was beginning to suffer a serious mid-life crisis. Now ole "bubba" had the military haircut and looked like he was seven months preganent. he had all the war movies and basically he was what we would call an "Arm Chair General" which means basically a military wannabe.

Now all he could talk about was what his past football glory days in High School and college, working in the same office was a Hot latina woman that he kinda had designs on, One day while reorganizing the file room she came in and we got to talking, and all of a sudden she found me a lot more interesting than ole "Bubba" and "Bubba" began to notice this, personally I had no interest in her at all mainly because I was a happily married man, and they would go out to Luby's for dinner while I would stay at the office, one day she pressed him to take me with them.

And while he was reciting his glory days in High School she completely ignored him and started talking to me, bear in mind all of this was unsolicited, anyways when I went into some of my stories about the places I'd been and all that I could see the resentment and jealousy in his eyes, needless to say that night when I got home I got a call from the Temp agency saying that my "services" were no longer needed....Go figure!
