i was working as a server at a restaurant about 5 years ago and i had a horribly mean manager. she would make cheap, ugly necklaces and things and then pressure her employees into buying them at very high prices. one day a fellow server came to me and asked my opinion on whether or not i thought that the necklace that she just bought from our manager was real turquiose, like our manager said it was. i looked at it and knew it was cheap plastic and told her so. i also went on about how ugly it was and why would she charge someone $85 dollars for plastic and thread and that managers should not be allowed to sell their wares to employees who are scared to say no. after my rant, i found out that my manager was around the corner and heard everything i said. i was fired a week later because i was "rude to a customer".
