Catching air leads to a firing!
San Diego BROKE ME!
I had just closed escrow on a condo near the beach in La Jolla when the Pharma. company I had worked my a## off for, downsized by 87%. I was laid off after working so hard to get into the pharmaceutical industry....and stuck with a $2000mo. morgage! Headed toward losing my place before my boxes were unpacked..
I interviewed like a mad woman, jumped at an offer in sales & marketing. The owner congradulated me and took my information for health insurance, notifying me that coverage were to begin March 20th. On the 23rd I went to Heavenly for the weekend. I'm snowboarding, drop in a back shoot between two diamonds and I hit a huge jump all ice on the other side! broke two bones in my hand...had to board the rest of the way down the mountain as ski patrol wouldn't have found me. I was treated at the base of the mountain, came home, called insurance and there was none! I spoke to owner about situation he said, "what did you go and break your hand for? Your no good to me, your fired!"
