This was a stupid way tp get fired.

about 11 years ago, I worked at a large grocery store in South Florida, as a stocker, bag boy, all that great stuff. I had a pretty good relationship with all of the people who worked there, and on one quiet Saturday night, I was over in the frozen food section, and I saw this Carvel ice cream cake that had been crushed in by something. I grabbed it, and took it to my manager and asker her what I was supposed to do with it. She told me that it'd be best just to throw it out, and put another one in there. So I asked her if it'd be ok if I'd share it with the employees before I tossed it out. She said "Sure, no problem" and I gave her the first piece. Well, I took it around to EVERYONE in the store, and we finished about half of the cake. I had my piece, and then I tossed it out. The next day when I came in, "Ms. Toni" met me at the door, and asked me to follow her. She asked me if I'd stolen a cake, and I told her exactly what had happened the night before, and made sure to mention that the night manager had ok'd it. She said that it wasn't their polocy to do what I did, and I'd half to leave immediatly! I looked over her shoulder, and I saw the night manager standing right behind her, not saying a word! Needless to say, I was pretty PO'd about being fired, but as I walked out I though to myself, "what the hell, it was only $5.00 an hour anyway." I'd like to know what happened to those two managers, but I have no idea, because I moved to Arkansas about a month after that.
