wrongful termination

Ok, so I took a bartending job this past July and loved it. Unfortunately that all changed this past week.
I, along with a few other female co-workers were leaving after a long night of bartending. We walked down the stairs outside, to get to our cars. When we were walking, we came upon this young boy named "James." Seeing this young boy was shocking, he was obviously in some sort of drug overdose. His eyes and mouth were wide open and he was unsteady on breath, but he was not coherent and didn't even "wake up" while we were shaking him and trying to get him to talk. My co-workers and I decided to tell our own staffed security and they told us "Don't worry about it,we have it under control." What a joke! Our security was just sitting there shootin the shit, and had no concern for this boy. Between myself, and my other 3 co-workers, we decided to call 911. None of us were able to get through, and a cop drove by so I ran up, and flagged him down. We explained this boy has been laying here barely breathing, and in obvious trouble if he doesn't get help. When the cops came up to the boy, they shined their flashlights in the boys eyes (mind you his eyes were wide open) and he didn't even blink. By this time the fire rescue squad showed up and the co-workers and I decided the boy is getting the help he needs and we decided to get going. As we are all about to walk away, my manager comes running up to us. He was obviously very angry and began to interrogate us as to who called the cops. I admit, it was me who flagged them down. Now, my manager begins to tell me that I f***ed up and I did the wrong thing by calling the police. At this point I'm just in awe. So, the next day I'm scheduled to work, I find out my name has been taken off an already posted schedule and they won't return any of my calls. I finally took it upon myself to go down to my place of work and confront my manager. He begins to try and give me some lie about why I was taken off the schedule, but when I persist he ends up saying "f**k you, your fired." They obviously don't know how to treat their employees. So... they end up telling me that it is not my job to call the police and I should have just kept walking past this boy, who was in obvious need of medical treatment. Just because they didn't want the cops to be brought onto their property. Now let me just ask- what's worse the police coming on the grounds to help an overdosed boy. or the police coming to find this boy dead on your property? Just doesn't make any sense to me... SO now I'm jobless all because I thought I was doing the right thing.
