Clients Can Be So Demanding
An acquaintance that I know was fired because of a phone call. As one of the floor supervisors it was his job to interact with clients concerning their AV needs while in the hotel. One event had a very demanding female client.
He got to his phone day to check his messages to find yet another of what had been many requests from her. He called her room back to discuss it with her and got her voice mail so he began to leave her a message. As he went to hang up the phone someone came up and said, “What’s up?”
Unknown to him, as he hung up the phone, his finger hit the speakerphone. He then went on to describe in great detail what a complaining, whining, always needy b**ch this client was. After about five minutes of this, another tech showed up and asked what was wrong. He repeated himself verbatim.
The client was less than happy to hear the message he left on her phone, but she took the opportunity to get to know the GM of the hotel who made it his personal mission to insure that the floor supervisor would never enter his hotel again.
