Repost: Blame it on the youth!
I was hired for my previous employer in 1999. I have considerable experience in the field in which I was working in since 1974, and things were going very smoothly until one meeting three years later when my boss at the time brought us all into a meeting (3 clerks) and quote" My Way or the Highway" unquote.
At this remark one of the clerks quit, the other clerk retired which left only me. Another remark my boss said to me, in private, was "I want to hire younger personnel for this office" I am 50+ years of age.
A year later I was gone, and now to this day, he does have younger employees working for him.
Is this fair?
