The Office Mate From HELL!

As the office manager of a home health nursing agency, I witnessed a QMRP who used her "Professional Status" to get rid of unsavory clients. Namely black clients. She went so far as to send one of our clients to the hospital for a Psych Eval. w/o paperwork, an aide (client was 1:1) or even so much as a phone call. The woman was taken into the hospital, but no one had any idea what her name was, contact info, etc. (she was mute and mentally retarded) The family of the woman was so disgusted they pulled her out of our care. The QMRP stated quite frankly, "We didn't want her kind here anyways"

Now this QMRP thought the sun rose and set in my Rear end for the first few months we worked together. That is until she discovered that my husband is black.

Then, she instantly began harassing me. She accused me of stealing my own money, of not doing my job, accused me of not running the office the way she wanted it ran, coercing other employees to lie for me. She even slammed her hand on the table during a meeting because I had given someone a day off without her permission (The worker went into labor during her shift and had to be replaced on the schedule). Of course this bit of information never made it to the ears of the Director. Nope, only the fact that I gave someone a day off without permission. Funny thing, I never needed anyone's permission to give someone a day off before Ms. Racism met my man!

Well, and to thank the woman for such a warm working environment, once my suspicions of racism were validated, I placed an abuse hotline call to the Department of Mental Health and told them about all of her racist behaviors and antics.

Today at least I can say, I no longer work for that company, but neither does she. She was fired about 2 weeks after I packed all my things and walked out and quit in the middle of a state inspection of our region. lol
