I go to work today actually 3rd week going strong havent missed a day of work, worked my a** off too by the way. I came in with no experience doing flat roofs getting paid 11.00$ an hour working about 50 hours a week sweat pouring off my head like a f*****g waterfall. And if youve ever done it yourself you may notice it dont take a smart person to do it. Anyways I pretty much learned 80% of the shit needed to know in 2 and a half weeks. So we get done with work today unloading the trucks and sh*t in the crane truck, And randy (the guy that hired me) says BEN! come over here. I walk over and yea I was expecting something bad just by the look on that aholes face. He said "I'm sorry Ben you aint working out, ive talked to the guys and you just dont have that drive". I said well which guys have u been talking to the 2 guys that operate the crane and been here for 15 years or the 2 other guys on the roof with me, working on the roof? He didnt tell me he just said we dont think your right for us. "Make sure you fill out a time card for this week" and that was it! So im a short tempered guy I said man go f***k yourself you have no idea how hard i worked as he walked away shaking his head. So i go fill out my timecard and sure shit theres some dude sitting on a chair watching safety videos and getting ready to take my f*****g job had about 10 years on me. So ive come to believe Experience is more important than hard work, word from a foreman talking sh*t about you always wins, but word from the guys busting there ass on the roof 90 degree weather aint considered. Am i making any kind of sense right now? Talk to the mofo people that actually work and then anaylze me you f*****g piece of sh*t. The whole day my supervisor knew i was getting fired today so he made me work my ass off right until we got to the shop.
