Fired for being unhealthy

In January I got a job at a local convenience store.The owner's husband works with my husband and that is how I got the job.I informed my boss that I would have to take alot of time off for doctor's appts and illness(I have fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease and Sciatica)The state doesn't consider me disabled so I had to get a part-time job to make ends meet. Anyway, this last week I had to go to the doctor and she did a muscle and nerve test on me that hurt pretty bad.I called my boss and asked her if it would be ok for me to take a couple days off to recover.She was all for it.She told me to just take the rest of the week off to recover.Nice , right? Yeah right....I got a letter on that Friday telling me that because of my health problems she was letting me go???I am presently searching for a lawyer. It isn't legal to do that...fire someone because of that right? I would appreciate any feed back.

    If they are an at will employer they can do anything. Sick- I know. I understand your pain.
