Don't be a hero
The next time your boss tells you to report an employee stealing from the company think about this:I and several other employees complained to management about a employee who was stealing from the store (I actually complained twice, not because I hate stealing, I just thought this chick was a bitch). Management assured me the problem would be taken care of. Guess what happens next? Not only is she given a raise but a promotion to a higher position than me, even though I've worked there 4 times longer than her (a lot harder too). So now the bitch is giving me orders even though she is a worthless/stupid twat.
She gets so comfortable in her new position that she starts sucking up to corporate big time and treating other employees like shit. I mostly ignore it, it wasn't my problem yet.
One night she starts giving me crap in front of a customer. Calling me stupid, worthless, crappy, all kinds of shit like that. Now being as that I'm at work I can't just drop kick the bitch. So I wait till the customer leaves and I tell her that if she ever pulls that shit again I'll be talking to management (not that they would do anything anyways but it's the best I could come up with). This is the best part. She is so "friendly" with the store owner that she convinces him that I threatened physical harm on her and was acting crazy. She forgets to mention what a bitch she was being and how the entire thing was her fault. Next thing you know I'm being escorted out of the store by security. WHAT THE FUCK!?!?
No my side of the story, no review, just fired (they didn't even check the security cameras which would have shown me as calm and controlled).
The only consolation I have is that the store is probably going out of business soon (due to crappy management) and that I'm going to be there the day they tear it down to piss on the rubble.
The funny thing is she got fired two days after me. So I guess I took her down with me but still I'd rather I pushed her in front of a bus or a plane or something.

Then you'd go to prison! She's not worth it. Sounds like she got what was coming to her.
I faced a similar experience when I told management about an employee bribing other employees to try to get people she didn't like in trouble or fired. Lead manager wouldn't address it. Instead this employee gets a promotion and I get treated like the bad guy. I've since been viewed as a troublemaker/disgruntled employee. Who wouldn't be disgruntled after being treated like that? Don't ever tell your managers ANYTHING. ANYTHING at all. They won't believe you and it will probably hurt YOU. If your silence hurts the organization, let them deal with it.
