Trained person that took their job!

I worked for a very famous record company in Midtown as a receptionist, my very first job in Manhattan. I had to greet people in the lobby as well as juggle the phones, all 9 lines! One week I was asked to train someone, so I did, knowing full well there wasn't a position open, but hey, who am I to question it. Then, Monday morning, my worst dream came true. I came to work and sitting at my desk was the girl I had just trained. Yep, I had just spent the last week training her for my very position! What a rotten low-down, spineless way to fire someone. So that Monday morning, I asked why that girl was in my seat and someone told me, oh you didn't hear...you've been fired.

But, now that I look back on it, it was the best thing that could've happened to me. I wouldn't want to work for a company who practiced business in this way. Still to this day, it is the only place I have ever been fired from. They don't know what they lost. In fact...they couldn't pay me enough to hire me back if they wanted me!
