A Security Firing Story
In the security field, you just never know if you will have a job the next day or not.I once worked for a hospital ... it was great, and I received several commendations for my service, and excellent job reviews. During this time, I was also going through a divorce, but was determined to keep that away from my job, so I never discussed it at work. It did not affect my work and was no one's business.
One night, I came in and as I was preparing to go out on the floor, my sergeant came in and began to ramble in scary detail about private life and the divorce, and ended the conversation with "You know he does NOT want this divorce"
I was so stunned I couldn't think of anything to say, and then I was angry and afraid I was say something that would get me in trouble so I just apologized to him that he had somehow became involved and left the room.
Now I should add that I am an excellent officer and have earned several commendations, one of which was given to me that week. ! had also just received another excellent job review and a raise.
A week after this very strange conversation, I was fired by this same sergeant, who cited some ridiculous made-up charge. Did my soon-to-be ex talk to him somehow? Yes I believe so ... how else would my boss know about any details?
Why would he even engage in any conversation with my ex? I don't know. In case you are wondering, no, there was no inappropriate relationship there (ick!) He was my boss, that is all.
Thi is only ONE security firing story lol This is only one of the reasons I am trying to get into another field (very hard to do!)
People if you ever think of taking a security job .... please DON'T.
