I just got fired from my job at a lumberyard. I was having "intestinal distress", so to speak. My job involved building large(100 to 400 lb) pallets by hand requiring me to flip them over. Needless to say, I didn't feel comfortable lifting them. I wasn't to hot for the idea of crapping my pants. When I asked if it would be ok to leave early, I was told I'd be fired. So I told them I would stay, but I wasn't sure how much I could do. I was hitting the john 3 or 4 times an hour. Then I was told that they didn't want to pay me for running to the john. What option does that leave me? S**t my pants? So, I have no job now. I should mention that this was my second week on the job. I was making rate and hadn't missed or been late.

With a company so petty, the decision was probably in your best interest.
What a bunch of jerks and I'm pretty sure using the restroom on the job isn't a privilege it's your right. You should have just shit on the lumber.
You only been 2 weeks there, so you probably set a bad impression by going to the bathroom so many times. I used to work at a small shipping company, building pallets for trucks. Usually the guy always in the bathroom was either yapping on the cell phone or taking a nap.
If you're new, and are already asking to leave early, they're just gonna view you as a slacker, it's fucked up but that's just how it goes.
