Perhaps, on second thought, I should have kept this golden nugget locked up inside the dome, but it had to be vocalized.
The drunk asshole even asked "What did you say?" to which I replied with the all-time classic, "You heard me!"
Yes, technically he is a "customer", but calling me a 'douche bag' in front of my other customers warranted a proper response.
I thought for a moment that this could be a bad thing to do, but I had had enough &" I let the expletives fly"
It's been a week since the "incident" & I still haven't thought up a better reply which only strengthens my confidence that I did the right thing. Only time will tell if this was one of the biggest regrets of my life or the greatest thing that I have ever done.
But, what kind of country are we living in when you can't say, "Go Fuck Yourself!" after being called a 'douche bag' at your place of employment?!?!

Uh, the kind of country where verbal abuse is not countered by additional verbal abuse.
Yeah, not the smartest way to respond to that idiot.
But if you keep your job after that, you'll have lived the dream of every customer service worker in the world.
