Jerk of a boss

About two years ago I went to work for a machine shop/manufacturer that did design work for several manufacturers in the town I live in. My job, fresh from getting my degree was as a Cad drafter. I had been working for a couple months doing odd jobs at the school I had gotten my degree from, including teaching basic courses in AutoCad.

I went to work for this place and 99% of the people were nice and easy to get along with, THEN there was the guy that was half owner of the place. A constant stress case with a huge attitude and a chip on his shoulder, he would freely tell you that he could not even draw a line in AutoCad but he sure liked to stand over your shoulder!

At this point I was still learning a lot and was doing my best to do a good job for the guy. No matter what I did, nothing was good enough. No matter what happened he was constantly angry and stressed. I will admit that I made mistakes, we all do, but this guy would absolutely go off over nothing.
When he tried to find out something, instead of explaining how they do things, he thought I should automatically know as soon as I started.
I got one drawing that was completely screwed up when I got it. IT was a drawing that had started in English, had been converted to Japanese and metric, converted BACK to English and standard, and I had to convert it BACK! Whoever had done the last conversion, had half way done it and I had to fix 2/3 of the thing and he got mad at how long it took!

After less than two weeks of this I went in and told the guy, I had enough, I was a stress case and wasn't sleeping or eating well. and it was impossible to get up in the morning, AFTER LESS THAN TWO WEEKS! The next to last day there, I was told by the guy directly above me that there had been 28 people in my position in less than ten years! All had left because of this guy!

That day I had not slept the night before and I was supposed to start work at 7 AM, I was HOME by 7:05! I went in early adn packed my crap and told him there was just no way i could live like that. He wanted miracles for 8 bucks an hour and I was no miracle worker! And I was GONE!
