A "firing-gram"
I had been hired at a local computer repair shop as a printer and computer technician, for good pay. I had been working there for 2 months, when one day a necklace that I always wore but kept hidden of a pagan pentagram fell out of my shirt when I was leaning over a printer.
My boss it turned out, was a fundamentalist christian. He saw the necklace, and proceeded to tell me that (in front of 2 other co-workers) I 'must take it off immediately, I don't want that kind of devil worshiping s**t around my customers'. I wrote him an email that afternoon expressing my dismay and feelings that he was being discriminatory.
the next day, he pulled me aside, and then proceeded to berate my religion again, saying that he's a 'good christian man, and he doesn't want any devil s**t around himself or his customers'. he then proceeded to make complaints about the way I dress, my work performance, and anything else he could think of. the next day I got fired because of what he called 'failure to perform my job satisfactorally', and then said to me 'your fired. get your s**t and get out.'
