Company Car goof

I was a relatively brand new customer service engineer at Hewlett-Packard in the late 1980's. There were about 20 of us there and we all had brand new company-provided Ford Tauruses (Tauri?). By accident we found out that one set of keys would work in three or four of these Tauruses. And in one case the exact same model, color and interior matched.

While our coworker was eating lunch we moved all of his equipment, personal gear etc from one Taurus to the other identical Taurus and then moved the cars so they were in the correct spaces. Then we waited. He hopped in and started to drive off. Just as he reached the end of the driveway the car screeched to a halt. He got out walked around it, scartched his head looking very confused and then he read the license plate. He then began shouting some rather unpleasant expletives at the rest of us watching from the windows. Extremely unprofessional, but very funny!
