No sympathy from company

Worked for xxxx Corporation as a national sales developer. Drank at every function. Slept thru high-level meetings and was encouraged to drink at every event. After I quit drinking, thanks to AA I was abruptly fired for the reason that I had a drinking problem. Now mind you, I was never offered corporate help for the drinking problem. I was just asked to exit stage left. Funny how that when you are no longer funny...they can you for what that had so often condoned...
