When the Marine Corps got connected to the internet and stood up their email access, wild card emails were available to all users. A young marine thinking he was responding only to all his buddies, mistakenly sent a wild card email to evey email address in the Marine Corps. It wouldn't have been so bad except that he simply stated "I am so bored because I have nothing to do!"
As a civilian employee who recieved that email, I busted out laughing knowing that he had sent that to everyone and I mean "everyone" that had a marine corps email address including the Commandant of the Marine Corps.
In talking with my friends about that email, we are sure that the remainder of his enlistment was spent being with plenty to do.
My friends and I still bring this up from time to time laughing and wondering if that guy is still "busy" with the Marine Corps.
