Fired for making racial statements. NOT.

I've been fired twice in my life. The first time was at a famous venerable charitable organization where I worked as a copyman. I was on the phone with a customer when for no reason she slammed down the receiver. She had asked for a person using their first name. When I asked her what department she was in she slammed the phone down very rudely. The lady beside me heard it and said "how rude" I remarked "She's just off the boat". A fellow employee heard me and told my manager who fired me for making a racial statement against a oriental customer. Problem is the woman sounded caucasian and was off the phone when I said it. They fired me. I went to the state labor board and the racial statement was taken off of my work record and I collected unemployment for six months.
