In the seventies as a teenager a couple of my buddies and I worked as dish washers at a popular Chinese restaurant. The owner was a tyrant and made us do more then just wash dishes. We use to wipe the ceiling down, clean the grease traps, chop vegetables, gut chickens and do whatever else the cooks thought slave labor should do. We were desperate for jobs back then and would worked crazy hours like 4pm to 4am to earn $2.00 an hour. The restaurant became a second hang-out for the guys since we were there most of our free time. One day while chopping vegetables one of my buddies tossed onion in the air. I quickly proceeded to cut the onion in half before it hit the ground. This went one for awhile with each one of us slicing onions in midair. All of sudden one of my not so bright friend decided to try to snatch the onion out of the air before I did my Samurai routine. With the skills of a surgeon my knife passed clean threw my friends hand. The boss rushed in and quickly fired both of us while my friend was still impaled with a knife.
