Hey barkeep, don't flag the Senator

This case should be fun to watch. In Austin, Rebekah Lear sued the bar that fired her after she refused to bring state Senator John Whitmire another drink because he appeared intoxicated.
The Senator took it with the customary grace and dignity of the overprivileged Texas politician. As in 'not well'...
Lear said she served Whitmire a J&B and water, but when he asked for another scotch, she gave him a glass of water instead, telling him she couldn't serve him another drink because he was intoxicated. The Senator's sycophants are accusing Rebekah of making up the whole thing. Someone tell me again why term limits in government are a bad idea?
Things went downhill from there, Lear said: She claims Whitmire threatened to call the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and have her fired, saying he "would have her job" if she didn't bring him another drink. Lear reportedly told Whitmire she would call the police if he didn't simmer down, and she said Whitmire "responded that the police would not come because all he would have to do was to make a phone call."
I have to laugh at the final question in that report, "tell me again why term limits are bad?", lol, it has nothing to do with term limits, we can limit their terms all we want, it will change nothing except to allow more of them a chance at power messing everything worse then it already is.
The trick to it all is to get rid of the career politician. Now, I can already hear the teeth gnashing, lol, " term limits would do away with the career politician" and the answer to that is, no, it won't. That would only limit the time they were allowed to run that specific office, it does nothing to stop them from taking another position elsewhere. If these "positions" didn't pay, at least keep their income capped, there is no need for governor's or the senate to make more then the private sector.
It's in the money, if the job paid less, then we would be able to get people that actually care into office. When the job is done for love, then the job is done right, when the job is done for money, then nothing ever is right because their only concern is the pay check.

I think that she is in her law giving right to flag any person that seems to had to much to drink.
The law states too much alcohol can impare your thinking,as well as driving...think about that. She just was doing her job.i think so anyway.

@Proud Michigander: Elected officials take bribes now. Paying them less or more than they make won't change the influence of under the table cash. Getting them out of office would.
